Having met during a booze-filled night in a public house in London, England, the Quit or Continue team stumbled to their homes with two things on their mind: a chicken doner and the spark of an idea of talking honestly about games on a podcast.
The morning after the doner might have been sitting uneasily, but the marvel that is Quit or Continue was born. The founding members of Quit or Continue are:
Mike Plant (@MikePlantGC)
Mike fondly remembers a time when Mode 7 was king, Mario and Sonic would sooner die than share an Olympic event and when a console by Atari was something to look forward to (RIP Atari Jaguar). His mission in life is to find the one Quit or Continue fan in New Zealand who watched the entire first episode before it was even on iTunes.
Andy Laughlin (@mediascribbles)
Andy is a former games writer at Digital Spy. He’s a big fan of shooters, mostly so he can channel his inner rage into something that won’t actually get him killed. Favourite game is Half Life 2, although he also likes scissors, paper, stone. He’s also partial to a dated reference and borderline inappropriate comment.
Jack Turner (@QorCJack)
Jack has been playing video games for the past 30 years, trying to recapture the high he experienced when playing Snapper on the Acorn Electron for the first time. He believes the Quit or Continue podcast should be at least three hours long. Nobody agrees with him.
Dave Whiteman (@tlddave)
Dave is the Dougie Howser of Quit or Continue, who as well as being an original member of the line-up, also produces and edits the show. Having already fathered a child, his life ambition is to have enough to fill an 8-player game of Super Smash Bros.
